Should a student who has Ds in high school be admitted to a top university over another with As b/c of race?
According Sotomayor they should be. Will she convince the court that this should be the path to follow?

if a student has D’s in high school what makes you think that they will do well in a top university? When The UnivUniversity could accept someone with outstanding academics and extracurriculars of another race?
Top Universities want students that show great academic and extracurricular abilities. If a student made d’s in high school they most likely will not do so well in a top university.
Race should not have anything to do with getting accepted into a university .that’s just BS!
everyone thinks that african amercan people should still get special privileges because of something that happened 200 years ago…witch in my opinion is not fair and it never will be.
the same goes for every other race other than white poeple …that race get’s no special treatment what so ever.
I am not a racist by any means I just think it is unfair to give certain races special treatment…while others don’t get anything.

Do many university students suffer under the delusion that college is harder than the real world?
I have noticed that many students that I go to school with act like once you graduate your life gets easier.
Well they will be in for a sad surprise won’t they?
Could I get into University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill?
I am a junior at a very competitive private high school. My weighted GPA is 4.0, my unweighted GPA is 4.23 and I got a 23 on the ACT. I am out of state. I work 20+ hours per week at a golf course after school and on the weekend. Would I be able to make it into UNC? If not, what would I have to do to make my chances better?
If you’re instate, you’re in. If you’re not instate, probably not. Out-of-staters should wait a year or two, then transfer in; that’s much easier if you’re not a North Carolinian.
What is the best university to major in Public relations: Boston University or Syracuse university?
Also, do you get the chance to do internships in syracuse University ? Because I know BU is highly recommended for internships.

There are internships at both Universities. I’ve met Syracuse grads, but I haven’t met BU grads yet… but likely that’s because I live in PA, not in the North east. BU has a good reputation as well… so you’d probably do well at either. Visit both campuses and get a vibe for the departments. Then go to the one that feels right for you.
Let me give you an example, when visiting med schools, my girlfriend visited Johns Hopkins, which is often ranked in the top 5, but she got a feeling it was really cut-throat when she visited there, and chose to go elsewhere for med school. I’m sure she’d of been a successful doctor either way, but she was successful where she went, and really liked her program.
