Is an online degree accepted in other universities ?
I am a student who is in India. I was too late to apply for a University and now I want to start a Degree in an online university. I just want to know wether those drees are accepted in other Universities because i am planning to do a Msc also.
As long as the college (online or campus based) is regionally accredited, any degree you earn should be accepted by any potential employers or other academic institutions.
My best recommendation would be to contact a number of colleges to find the best fit for you and your needs (tuition, schedule, career opportunities, etc.). Too often people enroll in the first school they find rather than taking the time to find the best school for them. Taking that time now could save you a lot of time, money and frustration if you choose the wrong school.
This site has some good info on regionally accredited online degrees and some colleges that offer them to help expand your search:

I think you can enter your info on there for any colleges you are interested in and they will send you more info for free. Good Luck!
How would you rate Columbia University compared to Johns Hopkins university?
Which has a better campus, quality of life, student happiness, academics? thanks alot
I am not too sure about John Hopkins, but I know someone who graduated from Columbia. He found the place academically challenging and the professors eager to help.
Columbia is located in NYC so if you are interested in living in such a famous, big city, then it would be a better place. It is one of the top 10 Universities in the US. John Hopkins is known for its medical school so I suppose that if you want to do pre-med or med it is the right place (although Columbia too has a great med system).
How good is KU (University of Kansas)?
I mean, after graduating in engineering, will I have the chance of being accepted into good Universities for the Masters? such as MIT, University of California at Berkley, Stanford, etc..
KU is a decent school, but not a top tier school. It IS good enough for you to get into the grad school that you’re naming, IFFFFFF you do well academically and have good internship, etc. Grad school never only consider ONE thing, it’s about the whole package.
How does American university differ to English universities – finance?
In England anyone can go to University if they have the grades, money isnt really an issue at all because you can get a loan from the government very easily.
However some friends of mine in America were saying how they couldnt afford to go to university. Why? What do you have to pay? Do you get loans?
I’m only 14 and I’d be grateful if someone could explain this to me a bit more. Thanks!
Yes, I’m aware of the differences, but many Americans don’t realize that U.K. and continental Universities do not charge the high fees that ours do.
We have two types of universities/colleges here: public (state supported) and private. The state-supported schools charge relatively low fees for tuition, room, and board, especially to residents of the state in which a given school is located. (Every U.S. state has as least one system of public universities; some have more than one.) However, "low" doesn’t mean free. Even our state-supported schools charge more than U.K. residents would have to pay.
Our private universities and colleges are very, very expensive, costing tens of thousands of dollars each year.
So, how do Americans pay? They apply for financial aid in the form of scholarships, grants, and loans. Many of the private schools (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, etc.) are extremely well-endowed and have a lot of financial aid money available. They give accepted students financial aid packages, which can be extremely generous. That’s how I earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees. Some of them no longer require students to take out loans so that they won’t graduate with high debt burdens.
But getting into these generous schools is often difficult, and attending a less generous school with less financial aid money available can be a real burden on the pocketbook. It can require students to take out very large loans in addition to whatever grants and scholarships they can get and to whatever they and their parents can pay out of pocket. Many people do it, but the loan repayments aren’t easy.
Does that answer your question?
