Georgina Turner: Success of World Cup in U.S. not easy to measure
This summer’s Women’s World Cup in Germany has caused quite the buzz, with one of the biggest stories being the gigantic television ratings. College Tuition? Some states have in state vs out of state rates, but does that apply in Europe?
I was wondering if colleges or Universities in Europe had in state (I guess in country) tuition vs out of country. Would it be the same price to go to a school in England if I was already in Germany, or would the price be different like I’m coming from the United States? What’s making me wonder is the massive difference for the University of Edinburgh (below)

sorry if the question is a little difficult to understand, i guess the more you can say in your answer the better!!
thanks, because id love to go to school in europe, but i live in the us, but i might be doing a year long program in germany the year before college, so i just wanted to know about in continent vs out of continient tuition i guess haha
Thanks =]
If your citizenship is American, attending a European University would be slightly higher than out of state degree in the US.
Living in Germany as a non-citizen student will not effect your tuition fees. You would not gain EU status.
At The University of Edinburgh, you would be charged $17,088 per semester, plus room and board. So the degree would cost roughly $51,000 plus living expenses (I believe Edinburg is a 3 year BA program).
